Miloš Perunović
Miloš Perunović (born 14 January 1984) is a Serbian chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster (GM) by FIDE in 2004. He is a two-time national champion (2005, 2007). Chess career Perunović played first board on the bronze medal-winning FR Yugoslavia (Serbia & Montenegro) team at the 2001 European U18 Team Chess Championship. He won the Serbia and Montenegro Chess Championship in 2005 and its successor, the Serbian Chess Championship in 2007. One of the most consistent performers at the national championship, he also has three silver and three bronze medals. A regular national team member, Perunović has represented his country in four Chess Olympiads (2004, 2008, 2012, 2014) and seven times in the European Team Chess Championship (2003, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017). 38th Chess Olympiad
The 38th Chess Olympiad (german: Die 38. Schacholympiade), organized by FIDE and comprising an open and a women's tournament, as well as several other events designed to promote the game of chess, took place from 12 to 25 November 2008 in Dresden, Germany. There were 146 teams in the open event and 111 in the women's event. In total, 1277 players were registered. Both tournament sections were officiated by international arbiter Ignatius Leong (Singapore). In a change from recent Olympiads, the number of rounds of the Swiss system were reduced from 13 to 11 with accelerated pairings. For the first time, the women's division, like the open division, was played over four boards per round, with each team allowed one alternate for a total of five players. Chess World Cup 2015
The Chess World Cup 2015 was a 128-player single-elimination chess tournament held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 10 September to 5 October 2015. Sergey Karjakin won the competition on tie-breaks after a four-game final against Peter Svidler. Both finalists qualified for the 2016 Candidates Tournament. The winner of the Chess World Cup 2013, Vladimir Kramnik, was defeated by Dmitry Andreikin in the third round. Format Matches consisted of two games (except for the final, which consisted of four). Players had 90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an addition of 30 seconds per move from the start of the game. Chigorin Memorial
The Chigorin Memorial is a chess tournament played in honour of Mikhail Chigorin (1850–1908), founder of the Soviet Chess School and one of the leading players of his day. The first and most important edition was the one played in 1909 in St. Petersburg. Later on, an international invitation Memorial tournament series was established, and mainly played in the Black Sea resort Sochi (from 1963 to 1990). Further irregular tournaments had been held in 1947, 1951, 1961, and 1972, played in diverse venues. From 1993 the venue returned to his hometown. The Memorial is now played as an Open event. Francisco Vallejo, son of Ángel R. Vallejo Jiménez, military academy graduate in Law, and Felicidad Pons Gomila. Ni Hua
Ni Hua (born May 31, 1983 in Shanghai) is a Chinese chess grandmaster and the national team captain. He is three-time national champion. In 2003, he became China's 15th Grandmaster at the age of 19. In April 2008, Ni Hua and Bu Xiangzhi both became the second and third Chinese players to pass the 2700 Elo rating mark, after Wang Yue. He was a member of the gold medal-winning Chinese team at the 41st Chess Olympiad. Career Ni learned to play chess at six. He won the S.T. Nikita Kirillovich Vitiugov (russian: Никита Кириллович Витюгов; born 4 February 1987) is a Russian chess player. He was awarded the title Grandmaster by FIDE in 2007. He was a member of the victorious Russian team at the World Team Chess Championship in 2009 and 2013. Vitiugov won the Gibraltar Masters tournament in 2013 and the Grenke Open in 2017. Vladimir Vasilyevich Fedoseev (russian: Влади́мир Васи́льевич Федосе́ев; born 16 February 1995) is a Russian chess grandmaster. He competed in the FIDE World Cup in 2015, 2017, and 2021. Career Fedoseev tied for second place in the Chigorin Memorial 2010 tournament, finishing seventh on tiebreak. In 2011, Fedoseev won the under 18 section of the Russian Youth Championships and finished runner-up in the same division at the World Youth Chess Championship.
