Gary Roland Mills (born 11 November 1961) is an English Manager (association football), football manager and former professional Association football, player. He played in the Premier League and Football League for Nottingham Forest F.C., Nottingham Forest, Derby County F.C., Derby County, Notts County F.C., Notts County and Leicester City F.C., Leicester City and managed in the Football League with Notts County and York City F.C., York City. He was recently the manager of club Corby Town F.C., Corby Town. Mills, who played as a right-back and as a midfielder, started his career with Football League First Division, First Division club Nottingham Forest. He became the club's youngest league player after making his First team (association football), first-team debut at the age of 16 in 1978. Gary Leonard Mills (born 20 May 1981) is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder. He was assistant manager at Wrexham until 31 March 2015. He was appointed the new manager at Rugby Town in May 2015 but left after a poor start to the season. He was player/coach at King's Lynn Town after his appointment in May 2016 before later being offered an opportunity to take over the hotseat at Corby Town as player/manager in October 2016. Career Rushden & Diamonds Born in Isle of Sheppey, Mills began his career with Coventry City before joining Rushden & Diamonds in their youth system on 21 July 1997. His debut for the club, at the age of 17, came on 22 December 1998 in a Conference League Cup game away to Farnborough Town.
