Frost* are an English neo-prog supergroup, formed in 2004 by Jem Godfrey and members of Arena, Kino, and IQ. Frost* released their first studio album, '' Milliontown'', in 2006, before splitting up. In 2008, Godfrey reformed Frost*, adding Darwin's Radio vocalist and guitarist, Declan Burke, to the lineup, and released their second album, '' Experiments in Mass Appeal''. The band disbanded again in 2011, to reunite later in September, after a brief hiatus. Frost* released their long-awaited third studio album ''Falling Satellites'' in 2016 and followed up with their fourth album ''Day and Age'' in 2021. Andy Edwards (musician)
Andy Edwards (born 1968) is a British drummer, multi-instrumentalist musician and music critic who is best known as former member of the progressive rock bands Frost* and IQ. Robert Plant's Priory of Brion Edwards first came to prominence as the drummer in Robert Plant's Priory of Brion. Formed in 1999, the band performed over one hundred concerts across Europe. With the dissolution of this band in late 2000, Edwards became the UK's master drum clinician for Tama drums, performing at many of the major drum festivals and contributing to articles for a variety of drums magazines including Rhythm Magazine, Modern Drummer and Ragazzi. In 2001 readers of Rhythm Magazine voted Edwards as one of the top ten drum clinicians in the UK. John Boyes (musician)
John Boyes (born 31 August 1966) is an English progressive rock guitarist and a commercial, editorial and advertising photographer. His musical career began when he replaced the original guitarist, Jim Harris, in the band Freefall in 1990, and most recently contributing to former Freefall bandmate, songwriter and producer Jem Godfrey's progressive band Frost*, on the formative recordings for their first album ''Milliontown''. On the photography front he was winner of the 2005 Shot Up North Photography award for "Best Image". John Mitchell (musician)
John Mitchell (born 21 June 1973) is an Irish musician and record producer. He primarily plays guitar and has been a member of the bands It Bites, Arena, Frost*, Kino, A, The Urbane, and Asia, as well as pursuing a solo career with the Lonely Robot project. Pallas (band)
Pallas are a Scottish progressive rock band from Aberdeen. They were one of the bands at the vanguard of what was termed neo-prog during progressive rock's second-wave revival in the early 1980s. Other major UK acts included Marillion, IQ, Twelfth Night, Pendragon and Solstice. History Formed in 1974 as 'Rainbow', they dropped the name after Ritchie Blackmore left Deep Purple and called his new band Rainbow.
