The Napa River is a river approximately long in the U.S. state of California. It drains a famous wine-growing region called the Napa Valley, in the mountains north of the San Francisco Bay. Milliken Creek and Mt. Veeder watersheds are a few of its many tributaries. The river mouth is at Vallejo, where the intertidal zone of fresh and salt waters flow into the Carquinez Strait and the San Pablo Bay. Silverado Country Club
The Silverado Resort and Spa is a golf, tennis, and spa resort in Napa County, California, United States. The venue is named after the Silverado Mine, a quicksilver mine near Mount Saint Helena. The resort is the fifth largest employer in Napa County. The United States Census Bureau has designated the area surrounding the Silverado Resort as a separate census-designated place (CDP) for statistical purposes. Rancho Yajome was a Ranchos of California, Mexican land grant in present day Napa County, California given in 1841 by Governor Juan Bautista Alvarado, Juan Alvarado to Damaso Rodríguez, a soldier who did not occupy the property. The rancho is east of the Napa River and north of Napa, California, Napa. History The one and a half leagues were granted to Damaso Antonio Rodríguez (1782 - 1847). Rodriguez was a corporal of the Monterey, California, Monterey Company, and transferred to the Santa Barbara, California, Santa Barbara Company in 1818. From 1833 he was alferez of the San Francisco, California, San Francisco Company, and sometimes commander of the post.
