Miljoona Rock was a rock festival in Tuuri held annually since 2004. Tuuri is a village in Töysä, a municipality of Finland. Tuuri
Tuuri is a village in Alavus, a town of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Southern Ostrobothnia region. The village has a population of 500. In Modern Finnish the appellative ''tuuri'' means 'luck'. The village is known for the second biggest department store in Finland, Veljekset Keskinen. The massive golden horseshoe erected over the shopping mall stands at number three in Reuters' list of world's ugliest buildings and monuments. Europe (band)
Europe is a Swedish Rock music, rock band formed in Upplands Väsby in 1979, by frontman Joey Tempest, guitarist John Norum, bassist Peter Olsson, and drummer Tony Reno. They obtained a major breakthrough in Sweden in 1982 by winning the televised competition "''Rock-SM''" (Swedish Rock Championships): it was the first time this competition was held, and Europe became a larger success than the competition itself. Movetron
Movetron is a Finnish Eurodance and pop band, first established in the mid-1990s by Päivi Lepistö, Jukka Tanttari, and Timo Löyvä, and re-established in 2007. 1994–2000 Their first album ''Romeo ja Julia'' sold double platinum, peaked at #1 and stayed in the official Finnish Album charts for 38 weeks. The album produced three Top-10 hits in the Top 20 singles chart: "Romeo ja Julia" (#2), "Ristinolla" (#1 for two weeks) and the ballad "Alla koivupuun" (#10). A platinum edition of the album was released with four bonus tracks. The group's second album ''Soittorasia'' was released in October 1996 and sold gold immediately. By the end of the year, the album had sold over 40,000 copies and gone platinum. Hits such as "Prinssi" (#6) and "Flavio" (#8) were included in the album. Dingo
The dingo (''Canis familiaris'', ''Canis familiaris dingo'', ''Canis dingo'', or '' Canis lupus dingo'') is an ancient (basal) lineage of dog found in Australia. Its taxonomic classification is debated as indicated by the variety of scientific names presently applied in different publications. It is variously considered a form of domestic dog not warranting recognition as a subspecies, a subspecies of dog or wolf, or a full species in its own right. The dingo is a medium-sized canine that possesses a lean, hardy body adapted for speed, agility, and stamina. The dingo's three main coat colourations are light ginger or tan, black and tan, or creamy white. The skull is wedge-shaped and appears large in proportion to the body. Twisted Sister
Twisted Sister was an American heavy metal band originally from Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, and later based on Long Island, New York. Their best-known songs include " We're Not Gonna Take It" and " I Wanna Rock", both of which were associated with music videos noted for their sense of slapstick humor. Twisted Sister evolved from a band named Silver Star, and experienced several membership changes before settling on the classic lineup of Jay Jay French (guitars), Eddie "Fingers" Ojeda (guitars), Dee Snider (lead vocals), Mark "The Animal" Mendoza (bass), and A. Nightwish
Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. The band soon picked up drummer Jukka Nevalainen, and then bassist Sami Vänskä after the release of their debut album, '' Angels Fall First'' (1997). In 2001, Vänskä was replaced by Marko Hietala, who also took over the male vocalist role previously filled by Holopainen or guest singers. Although Nightwish have been prominent in their home country since ''Angels Fall First'', they did not achieve wider success until the release of the albums ''Oceanborn'' (1998), '' Wishmaster'' (2000) and '' Century Child'' (2002). Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu
Elonkerjuu is a Finnish folk rock band. The band had started in the mid-1990s with lead singer Lauri Tähkä and was known from 1996 until 2011 as Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu. They were signed since 2006 with Universal Music Finland. In 2011 Tähkä left the band, which shortened their name to the current form. In 2012 Juha Lagström was chosen as the new lead singer. The current singer is Osku Ketola, who has been in the band since 2017. Lauri Tähkä and Elonkerjuu During the first years, the band based its songs on traditional music from Southern Ostrobothnia. Later, they started to write the lyrics by themselves, but the themes are still connected to rural life and the language used is Southern Ostrobothnian dialect. Apulanta
Apulanta is a Finnish rock band, founded in 1991 when its members were in their mid-teens. In September 2009, Apulanta members established an independent label, Päijät-Hämeen Sorto ja Riisto ("Päijänne Tavastian Oppression and Exploitation"). Since its beginnings, the label has so far gotten one artist, pop singer Kaija Koo in the summer of 2010. In February 2011, they revealed that they had a new prospective artist in the label, though not disclosing their name.
