Mileva Filipović
Mileva Jovanova Filipović (née Kalezyc, ; 4 September 1938 - 11 July 2020) was a Montenegrin sociologist, who was Professor of Law at the University of Montenegro, where she unsuccessfully tried to establish a Department of Gender Studies. Biography Mileva Kalezyc was born on 4 September 1938 in Spuž. She graduated from the Sociology Department of the University of Belgrade in 1973, and subsequently received her MA in 1976. In 1983 she was awarded her PhD from the École normale supérieure, where she was supervised in part by Louis Althusser. From 1974 she worked at the University of Montenegro (then the University of Titograd) as an associate professor. In 1998 she was promoted to full professor  at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro, where she worked until her retirement in 2004.
