Miles Brown (American Football)
Miles Brown (born September 4, 1997) is an American professional Canadian football nose tackle for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Wofford and was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2019. Early life Brown was born on September 4, 1997, and went to high school at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., where he started all four years of high school totaling 97 tackles, 12 sacks and two INTs as a senior. He also played Running back in high school in which he totaled 136 carries for 1,012 yards, 22 receptions for 314 yards and 28 total TDs. Nose Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach.
