''Mile High'' is the twelfth studio album by American rap rock group Kottonmouth Kings. It was released on August 14, 2012 via Suburban Noize Records. Recording sessions took place at the Kottonmouth Kompound. Production was handled by Mike Kumagai and member Daddy X with additional production from John Edney and Steve Dang, except for the song "Mr. Cali Man", which was produced by Ceekay Jones and Makerz. It features guest appearances from Saint Dog, Ceekay Jones, Jahred, Mickey Avalon and Twiztid. The album peaked at number 36 on the ''Billboard'' 200, number 9 on the Independent Albums, number 10 on both the Top Rock Albums and the Top Alternative Albums, and number 7 on the Top Rap Albums chart in the United States. As of August 2015, it has sold 28,000 copies in the United States. Kottonmouth Kings
The Kottonmouth Kings is an American hip hop group formed in Placentia, California in 1996 by D-Loc and Saint Dog. The group advocates for legalizing cannabis, and their lyrics contain frequent references to marijuana consumption. The group plays hip hop, punk and rap rock songs that sometimes incorporate elements of other genres, including psychedelic rock, reggae, dubstep, bluegrass, rip hop and jam band. Paul Robert Methric (born July 14, 1973) is an American rapper and producer from Detroit, Michigan, also known as Monoxide Child of the rap group Twiztid. Early life Paul Methric began rapping as a teenager while he was in high school and listened to Bon Jovi for inspiration of lyrics he said. In school, Methric and friend Jamie Spaniolo would freestyle with other kids, though the two felt they were never great at promptly coming up with rhymes. Both recall going to school with late-rapper Proof and seeing him freestyle, describing him as "the mecca of freestyling". Methric and Spaniolo also watched freestyle battles at the Hip Hop Shop on a weekly basis. Jamie Michael Spaniolo (born November 5, 1975), known professionally as Jamie Madrox, is an American rapper from Detroit, Michigan, and performs as a member of the hip hop groups Twiztid and House of Krazees. Spaniolo's stage name is a reference to Marvel Comics's character Multiple Man. Early life Jamie Spaniolo began rapping as a teenager while he was in highschool. Shortly after, his parents adopted Zachary Potter, making him Spaniolo's brother and only sibling.
