Milagros Mata Gil
Milagros Mata Gil (17 April 1951-7 July 2023) was a Venezuelan novelist and essayist. She was a professor of Spanish, literature and Latin at the Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas. She was also a researcher in the area of Venezuelan literature and was a member of the Venezuelan Academia Venezolana de la Lengua, Academy of the Spanish Language since 2011 until her death. She is known, in principle, for her novels and essays, as well as for being the author of the anthem of the Heres Municipality, Bolívar (state), Bolívar state. Arrest On 31 March 2021, Milagros Mata Gil and poet Juan Manuel Muñoz, known as ''Moriche'', were detained by a commission of the Special Action Forces (FAES), reportedly for the publication of the text entitled "''Fiesta Mortal''" (Deadly Party), referring to a wedding which Attorney General Tarek William Saab attended despite the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Venezuela, coronavirus pandemic. Caracas
Caracas ( , ), officially Santiago de León de Caracas (CCS), is the capital and largest city of Venezuela, and the center of the Metropolitan Region of Caracas (or Greater Caracas). A prisoner, also known as an inmate or detainee, is a person who is deprived of liberty against their will. This can be by confinement or captivity in a prison or physical restraint. The term usually applies to one serving a sentence in prison. English law "Prisoner" is a legal term for a person who is imprisoned. ''El Carabobeño'' has been one of the most popular newspapers in the Central Region of Venezuela. The offices of the newspaper are located in Naguanagua, north of the city of Valencia in the state of Carabobo. Its main competitor in the area is ''Notitarde''. Gonzalo Himiob
Gonzalo Himiob Santomé (born October 5, 1969) is a Venezuelan lawyer, writer and activist. He is a founding member of the non-governmental organization Foro Penal and is currently its vice-president. Biography Gonzalo was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He graduated as a lawyer from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) in 1992, specializing in criminal science at the UCAB in 1996 and at the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV) in 2011. He was a university professor at the UCAB from 1996 to 2016 and has been a professor at the UCV since 2000. Himiob was also founder of the legal office Himiob, Romero y Asociados, being coordinator of the criminal and criminology area since 1993, and since 2001 he is an associate researcher of the Legal Research Center of the UCAB.
