Mikel Burley
Mikel Burley is a scholar of religion and philosophy, known for his work on the Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Biography Burley gained his B.A. in 1993 from the University of Essex, his M.A. from the University of Nottingham in 1997, and Ph.D.s from the University of Bristol in 2005 and the University of Leeds in 2009. He researches South Asian religions, in particular Hinduism and Buddhism, and their philosophies. AlsCV on Academia Works Burley has written over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles. Lloyd Strickland
Lloyd Strickland (born 1973) is a British philosopher, intellectual historian, Leibniz scholar, and translator of early modern philosophical texts. He is Professor of Philosophy and Intellectual History at Manchester Metropolitan University. Recent work Strickland was awarded a Mid-Career Fellowship in 2017 from The British Academy for work on the original manuscript of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz’s 1686 '' Examen religionis Christianae'' (''Examination of the Christian Religion''). Willard Van Orman Quine ( ; known to his friends as "Van"; June 25, 1908 – December 25, 2000) was an American philosopher and logician in the analytic tradition, recognized as "one of the most influential philosophers of the twentieth century". He was the Edgar Pierce Chair of Philosophy at Harvard University from 1956 to 1978. Quine was a teacher of logic and set theory.
