Mike Zadick
Michael Najeeb Zadick (born July 12, 1978) is an American former folkstyle and freestyle wrestler. He competed in the Men's freestyle 60 kg division at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He lost in the 1/8 finals to Vasyl Fedoryshyn. International wrestling career As a freestyle wrestler, Zadick won a silver medal at 2006 FILA Wrestling World Championships in Guangzhou, China, defeating two-time Olympic champion Mavlet Batirov in the semi-final. He is also a two-time champion at 60 kg at the Dave Schultz Memorial International Championship (2006 and 2010). In 2007, Zadick failed to place at the 2007 FILA Wrestling World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan. He was the silver medalist at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Zadick also represented the USA at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Great Falls is the third most populous city in the U.S. state of Montana and the county seat of Cascade County. The population was 60,442 according to the 2020 census. Mavlet Alavdinovich Batirov (russian: Мавлет Алавдинович Батиров, born December 12, 1983) is a Russian freestyle wrestler, world and 2-time Olympic champion, who competed in the men's freestyle 55 kg category at the 2004 Summer Olympics and won the gold medal. In April 2006, in Moscow, he became the 60 kg European champion. In September 2007 in Baku, he won the World Championship at 60 kg. William Michael Zadick (born April 3, 1973) is an American amateur wrestler. He won an NCAA college wrestling championship while competing with the University of Iowa and the 2006 World Wrestling Championships in freestyle wrestling. International wrestling career Bill Zadick was a resident athlete at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, from 2004-2008. His intensive training there helped him reach the pinnacle of the international amateur wrestling ranks when he won the gold medal at 66 kg/145.5 pounds at the 2006 FILA Wrestling World Championships in Guangzhou, China. Tom Brands (born April 9, 1968) is an American former Olympic wrestler and is currently the head coach of the University of Iowa men's wrestling team. He won a gold medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics. An intense competitor, Brands' wrestling career with the University of Iowa included a record of 158-7-2 and an undefeated season in 1991 where he was 45–0. Great Falls High School (or GFHS) is a public high school for grades 9 through 12 located in Great Falls, Montana. Established in 1890, it was the city's first high school.
