Mike Watts is an American audio engineer, mixer, and record producer, who has worked with a variety of artists including The Dillinger Escape Plan, Glassjaw, As Cities Burn, Hopesfall, As Tall As Lions, The Dear Hunter, and Gates. A mixing engineer (or simply mix engineer) is responsible for combining ("mixing") different sonic elements of an auditory piece into a complete rendition (also known as "final mix" or "mixdown"), whether in music, film, or any other content of auditory nature. The finished piece, recorded or live, must achieve a good balance of properties, such as volume, pan positioning, and other effects, while resolving any arising frequency conflicts from various sound sources. Odd Project
Odd Project is an American metalcore band from Orange County, California, that originally formed in 2000 and has recorded a few demos which resulted in a multi-album deal with Indianola Records. Odd Project then entered the recording studio at Zing Studio's (Killswitch Engage, From Autumn to Ashes, The Agony Scene) and recorded " The Second Hand Stopped" in just less than two weeks. ''As Tall as Lions'' is the second full-length album from As Tall as Lions. It was released on August 8, 2006, on Triple Crown Records. Recording and production The album took seven months to write and two months to record. It was produced by Mike Watts (record producer), Mike Watts and Steve Haigler, and was released on CD and Limited Edition Vinyl. Critical reception The album received generally positive reviews. AbsolutePunk.net gave it a rating of nine out of ten, comparing them to (amongst others) Damien Rice, U2 and The Mars Volta. PopMatters was equally enthusiastic, giving it 8 out of 10 and calling it "skillful, beautiful, and musically significant". Yesterdays Rising
Yesterdays Rising was an American post-hardcore band from Murrieta, California, in Riverside County, United States. History Yesterdays Rising formed in 2002 and self-released their first EP (Ship of Relations) in 2003. The group signed to Fearless Records in 2004 and released a second EP (When We Speak, We Breathe) following it up with a run on the Vans Warped Tour 2004. With all of them still attending high school, they were said to have been one of the youngest bands to ever travel with the Warped Tour. The Chariot was an American hardcore punk band from Douglasville, Georgia, that existed from 2003 to 2013. The last lineup consisted of drummer David Kennedy, vocalist and bandleader Josh Scogin, and guitarists Brandon Henderson and Stephen Harrison. The band experienced frequent lineup changes since its inception, with Scogin being the only original member.
