Mike Rupp
Michael Ryan Rupp (born January 13, 1980) is an American former professional ice hockey Centre (ice hockey), center. He has played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New Jersey Devils, Phoenix Coyotes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers and Minnesota Wild. Rupp scored the Stanley Cup-clinching goal – and first Stanley Cup playoffs, Stanley Cup playoff goal of his career – in the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals, which gave the Devils franchise its third Stanley Cup championship. Rupp serves as an analyst on NHL Network (U.S. TV network), NHL Network and SportsNet Pittsburgh. He serves as a co-host of "''That's Hockey Talk''" with Nick Maraldo and Kyle "Gumpy" Cathcart, which comes out of the Pat McAfee Incorporated Studios. Lakewood, Ohio
Lakewood is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States, on the southern shore of Lake Erie. Cale Hulse
Cale D. Hulse (born November 10, 1973) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player in the National Hockey League. He was a defenceman. Playing career Hulse was drafted in the 3rd round (66th overall) in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils. In 1995, he was on the American Hockey League's Calder Cup championship team, Albany River Rats. On February 26, 1996, he was traded to the Calgary Flames with Tommy Albelin and Jocelyn Lemieux for Phil Housley and Dan Keczmer. Jason Chimera
Jason Chimera (; born May 2, 1979) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger who played for five teams in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Chimera played his junior career in the WHL, for Medicine Hat and Brandon. He was selected 121st overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft by his hometown team, the Edmonton Oilers, mostly because of his outstanding skating. Chimera played three seasons on the Hamilton Bulldogs, which at that point was the Oilers' farm team in the American Hockey League. In his final season, he was named to the AHL First All-Star team. Chimera played two seasons for Edmonton before being traded to the Phoenix Coyotes for draft choices. 2004–05 NHL Lockout
The 2004–05 NHL lockout was a labor lockout that resulted in the cancellation of the National Hockey League (NHL) season, which would have been its 88th season of play. The main dispute was the league's desire to implement a salary cap to limit expenditure on player salaries, which was opposed by the NHL Players Association (NHLPA), the players' labor union, who proposed an alternative system of revenue sharing. Attempts at collective bargaining before the season began were unsuccessful. The lockout was initiated on September 16, 2004, one day after the expiration of the existing collective bargaining agreement (CBA), which itself had been the result of the 1994–95 lockout. Jan Hrdina (born February 5, 1976) is a Czech Republic, Czech former professional ice hockey player. Playing career Hrdina was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft in the 5th round, 128th overall. In March 2003, the Pittsburgh Penguins traded Hrdina and François Leroux to the Phoenix Coyotes for Ramzi Abid, Dan Focht and Guillaume Lefebvre. One year later, March 2004, the Phoenix Coyotes traded him to the New Jersey Devils for Michael Rupp and a second-round draft pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL). The league comprises 32 teams, with 26 in the United States and 6 in Canada. As of the 2024–25 AHL season, all 32 NHL teams held affiliations with an AHL team. Historically, when an NHL team does not have an AHL affiliate, its players are assigned to AHL teams affiliated with other NHL franchises. The Albany River Rats were a minor league professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Albany, New York at the Times Union Center. The 2000–01 AHL season was the 65th season of the American Hockey League. The league realigned its divisions again. The Atlantic division was renamed as the Canadian division.
