Mike Reynolds (conservationist)
Michael William Reynolds (1931 – 14 April 2007) was an English advertising copywriter who became known for his parrot conservation efforts. Reynolds started Bird Paradise in Hayle, Cornwall, United Kingdom in 1973, later to be re-named Paradise Park. Hayle
Hayle (, "estuary") is a port town and civil parishes in England, civil parish in west Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated at the mouth of the Hayle River (which discharges into St Ives Bay) and is approximately northeast of Penzance. Paradise Park, Cornwall
Paradise Park is a wildlife sanctuary situated in Hayle, Cornwall, England. It has over 1000 birds and animals and is the home of the World Parrot Trust. Events Penguin feeding happens daily in the summer at Paradise Park. They have a summer event called the Eagles of Paradise Display, a free-flying bird show that includes several varieties of parrots. On 21 March 2020 four zookeepers self-isolated on the property to care for their animals during the COVID-19 crisis. World Parrot Trust
The World Parrot Trust is an international charity dedicated to saving parrots. History When the Trust was founded in 1989 at Paradise Park in Cornwall, UK, it was decided that the main objective was to promote the survival of all parrot species and the welfare of individual birds, both in the wild and in captivity.
