Mike Morgan (baseball)
Michael Thomas Morgan (born October 8, 1959) is an American former right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. He played for 12 different teams over 25 years, and is one of 31 players in baseball history to appear in Major League baseball games in four decades (1978–2002). Upon his retirement, Morgan held the major league record for most major league teams played for (12), but this record was surpassed by Octavio Dotel in 2012 and Edwin Jackson in 2018. Because of this, Morgan was nicknamed "the Nomad" by his teammates due to his constant travel from team to team. The Nashville Sounds are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. They are located in Nashville, Tennessee, Nashville, Tennessee, and are named for the city's association with the music industry, specifically the "Nashville sound", a subgenre of country music which originated in the city in the mid-1950s. The Vancouver Canadians are a Minor League Baseball (MiLB) team located in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are members of the Northwest League and the High-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Canadians play their home games at Nat Bailey Stadium. They are currently the only MiLB team based in Canada. Scott Houston McGregor (born January 18, 1954) is an American former professional baseball player and coach, who played his entire career in Major League Baseball as a left-handed pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles from to . McGregor was an integral member of the 1983 World Series Champion Baltimore Orioles team, pitching a complete game shutout to clinch the series victory. Known for constantly changing speeds of his pitches, McGregor was a 20-game winner in and was named an American League (AL) All-Star in 1981. After his playing career, he became a youth pastor before returning to serve as a major league coach. He was most recently the pitching coach for the Baltimore Orioles. The 1978 Major League Baseball draft was held June 6–8, 1978, consisting of 48 rounds, during which a total of 779 players were selected by 26 Major League Baseball (MLB) organizations. Octavio Eduardo Dotel Diaz (November 25, 1973 – April 8, 2025) was a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who played 15 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played for 13 major league teams, the second-most of any player in history. Dotel spent most of his career as a relief pitcher, including several stints as a closer, during which time he recorded 109 saves. Dotel's longest tenure with a single team was the five seasons he spent with the Houston Astros. On June 11, 2003, he combined with five other Astros pitchers to throw a no-hitter.
