Mike McCoy (American Football Coach)
Michael P. McCoy (born April 1, 1972) is an American football coach and former player who is a senior offensive assistant for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He has previously spent time as the quarterbacks coach for the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars, the offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals, and four seasons as head coach of the San Diego Chargers from 2013 to 2016. Playing career Long Beach State After graduating from San Marin High School in Novato, California, McCoy attended California State University, Long Beach, where he redshirted his first year. During his redshirt freshman season in 1991, McCoy played in eight games for the Long Beach State 49ers, starting five of them. He completed 87 of 165 passes for 938 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions. The 1990 Long Beach State 49ers football team represented California State University, Long BeachThe official name of Long Beach State has been California State University, Long Beach since 1972. However, it is still commonly known as Long Beach State. during the 1990 NCAA Division I-A football season. Cal State Long Beach competed in the Big West Conference. The team was led by ex-NFL head coach George Allen, and played home games at Veterans Stadium on the campus of Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California. The 49ers offense scored 249 points while the defense allowed 331 points. Allen died shortly after the end of the 1990 season and was inducted posthumously into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002. The Freedom Bowl was an annual post-season college football bowl game played at Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim, California, from 1984 to 1994. The Arizona Wildcats football program represents the University of Arizona (UA) in the sport of American college football. Kevin Dyson
Kevin Tyree Dyson (born June 23, 1975) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Utah Utes. He was selected by the Tennessee Oilers 16th overall in the 1998 NFL draft. Dyson is best known for his part in two historic NFL plays – the Music City Miracle and The Tackle. He and his brother Andre were the first brothers in NFL history to score touchdowns in the same game. 2016 San Diego Chargers Season
The 2016 season was the San Diego Chargers' 47th in the National Football League (NFL), their 57th overall, their 56th and final season in San Diego, California, and their fourth and final season under head coach Mike McCoy. Due to the age of Qualcomm Stadium, there was speculation that the team would be relocating back to Los Angeles, where the franchise had played its first season in 1960.
