Mike McConnell (radio Personality)
Mike McConnell is an American talk radio host most recently on WLW in Cincinnati from 2014 through present, on WGN (AM), WGN in Chicago from 2010 to 2013 and for the prior 25 years on WLW. Early career McConnell started out in radio as Alan McConnell, as a rock music DJ at an album-oriented college radio station WVUD (University of Dayton) in Dayton, Ohio in the 1970s. After five years at the University Of Dayton, McConnell left for crosstown Album Rock WTUE in Dayton, where he used the name Mike McConnell due to Alan Sells already being "Alan" on WTUE. In the spring of 1982, McConnell moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to flip formats on KISS 96 in Cincinnati from top 40 to rock, where he remained until late 1983. WLWT (channel 5) is a television station in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States, affiliated with NBC and owned by Hearst Television. The station's studios are located on Young Street, and its transmitter is located on Chickasaw Street, both in the Mount Auburn neighborhood of Cincinnati. Thom Brennaman
Thomas Wade Brennaman (born September 12, 1963) is an American television sportscaster, currently the lead announcer for CW Sports college football games. He is the son of former Cincinnati Reds radio sportscaster Marty Brennaman. He served as a play-by-play commentator for Fox Sports since its inception in 1994 through 2020, the television voice of the Arizona Diamondbacks from 1998 to 2006, and as the voice of the Cincinnati Reds from 2007 through 2020. His career with the Reds and Fox Sports ended abruptly when he was caught on a hot mic making a homophobic statement during a game broadcast. His on-air apology, in which he interrupted himself to call " a drive into deep left field by Castellanos", became an internet meme.
