Mike Madill
Mike Madill (born May 9, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He was formerly General Manager and Head Coach of the last professional team he played with, the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. Madill attended St. Lawrence University where he played NCAA Division I hockey with the St. Lawrence Saints men's ice hockey team. Madill spent the 2010–11 season playing in Japan with the Nippon Paper Cranes. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL). Since the 2010–11 season, every team in the league has an affiliation agreement with one NHL team. When NHL teams do not have an AHL affiliate, players are assigned to AHL teams affiliated with other NHL teams. Twenty-six AHL teams are located in the United States and the remaining six are in Canada. The league offices are located in Springfield, Massachusetts, and its current president is Scott Howson. In general, a player must be at least 18 years of age to play in the AHL or not currently be beholden to a junior ice hockey team. Drew Bagnall
Drew Bagnall (born October 26, 1983) is a Canadians, Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played briefly with the Minnesota Wild in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Bagnall played four seasons for St. Lawrence University and five years in the minor leagues. In April 2011, at the age of 27, Bagnall made his NHL debut playing for the Minnesota Wild against the Edmonton Oilers. He primarily played as Captain (ice hockey), Captain with the Wild's American Hockey League, AHL affiliate, the Houston Aeros (1994–2013), Houston Aeros. On July 6, 2013, Bagnall left the Wild organization and signed a two-year, two way contract as a free agent with the Buffalo Sabres. Bagnall spent the entirety of his time in the Sabres organization with the Rochester Americans, serving as team Captain. The ECAC Hockey Best Defensive Defenseman is an annual award given out at the conclusion of the ECAC Hockey regular season to the best defensive forward in the conference as voted by the coaches of each ECAC team. The 'Outstanding Defenseman' was first awarded in 1962 but discontinued following the 1967 season. After 25 years of retirement the award was rekindled as the 'Best Defensive Defenseman' in the same year that the Best Defensive Forward was inaugurated (1993). It has since been conferred each year. Jaime Sifers
James T. Sifers (born January 18, 1983) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman who played most notably in the American Hockey League (AHL). He enjoyed brief stints in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Minnesota Wild. Playing career Undrafted, Sifers played collegiate hockey with the University of Vermont in the Hockey East prior to making his professional debut at the end of the 2005-06 season with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.
