Mike Kalambay
Mike Kalambay (born April 21, 1980) is a Congolese gospel singer-songwriter whose origin is from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mike Kalambay also founded ''Mike Kalambay & Shekinah Music''. Early life Mike Kalambay was born in Kinshasa. His parents are Joseph Kabamuanishi and Monique Ngola. He spent his early childhood in Mbuji-Mayi with his maternal grandmother and moved to Kinshasa at age 9. He has 4 siblings from his parent’s union who's names are Alan,Guy,Natalie and Julie and 22 half siblings. His father is a polygamist and his mother is the fourth wife. Mike spent his early years singing in the youth choir and was eventually discovered by singing at a competition hosted by Charles Mombaya. Sankuru
Sankuru is one of the 21 provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo created in the 2015 repartitioning. Sankuru, Kasaï-Oriental, and Lomami provinces are the result of the dismemberment of the former Kasaï-Oriental province. Sankuru was formed from the Sankuru District whose town of Lusambo was elevated to capital city of the new province. The 2020 population was estimated to be 2,593,400. Kongo People
The Kongo people (also , singular: or ''M'kongo; , , singular: '') are a Bantu ethnic group primarily defined as the speakers of Kikongo. Subgroups include the Beembe, Bwende, Vili, Sundi, Yombe, Dondo, Lari, and others. Kasaï-Oriental (French language, French for "East Kasai") was one of the eleven Provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo between 1966 and 2015, when it was split into the new, smaller Kasai-Oriental province, the Lomami Province, Lomami and the Sankuru provinces.
