Mike Higham
Michael John Higham (born 25 April 1970) is a British Sound editor (filmmaking), sound editor, record producer, audio engineer, and composer known for his work in film and television. He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Limited Series, Movie, or Special for his work on the 2001 HBO miniseries ''Band of Brothers (miniseries), Band of Brothers.'' Career Higham began his career as a recording engineer for producer Trevor Horn, and worked with artists like Seal (musician), Seal, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton, and Sting (musician), Sting. A film score is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental, or choral pieces called cues, which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question. Scores are written by one or more composers under the guidance of or in collaboration with the film's director or producer and are then most often performed by an ensemble of musicians – usually including an orchestra (most likely a symphony orchestra) or band, instrumental soloists, and choir or vocalists – known as playback singers – and recorded by a sound engineer. Timothy Walter Burton (born August 25, 1958) is an American filmmaker and producer. Known for popularizing Goth subculture, Goth culture in the American film industry, Burton is famous for his Gothic film, gothic horror and dark fantasy films.
