Mike Finneran
Michael Holman Finneran (born September 21, 1948) is an American former diver. In 1971 he won the NCAA outdoor and AAU indoor titles and a gold medal at the Pan American Games, all in the 3 m springboard. Next year he won the AAU outdoor springboard title. At the 1972 Summer Olympics, he placed 5th in the springboard and 9th in the 10 m platform. Biography In 1971 Finneran graduated in business administration from the Ohio State University. He later coached both men's and women's teams at the University of South Carolina in 1981–85, and at the University of Alabama in 1985–88, and prepared the national diving team for the 1986 Goodwill Games. He later coached at Enloe High School (1997–2000) and at North Carolina State University. His sister Sharon Finneran is an Olympic swimmer, and her daughter Ariel Rittenhouse Ariel Rittenhouse (born December 9, 1990) is an American diving athlete. Rockville Centre, commonly abbreviated as RVC, is an incorporated village located in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. Ariel Rittenhouse
Ariel Rittenhouse (born December 9, 1990) is an American diving athlete. Rittenhouse won a silver medal at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Rittenhouse placed 4th in the synchronized springboard. Her mother, Sharon Finneran, was an Olympic swimmer who won a silver medal at the 1964 Summer Olympics. Sharon Finneran
Sharon Evans Finneran (born February 4, 1946), also known by her married name Sharon Rittenhouse, is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic medalist, and former world record-holder in three events. She represented the United States as an 18-year-old at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Finneran received a silver medal for her second-place finish in the women's 400-meter individual medley – completing an all-American sweep of the event with Donna de Varona and Martha Randall. In 1981 she was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame. In retirement Finneran took part in masters swimming tournaments. Her four siblings were competitive swimmers, divers and water polo players. Her brother Mike Finneran placed fifth in springboard diving at the 1972 Summer Olympics, and her daughter Ariel Rittenhouse finished fourth at the 2008 Summer Olympics, also in springboard diving.
