Mikael Samuelson
Mikael Gustaf Lennart Samuelson (born 9 March 1951) is a Swedish people, Swedish baritone opera singer, actor, and composer. Samuelson, born in Njutånger in Hälsingland, central Sweden, is the son of the musician and music arranger . Mikael Samuelson has been considered one of the greatest Swedish musical performers and composers, especially for his versions of the songs of Evert Taube and Fred Åkerström. Career Samuelson studied singing, conducting, and violin at Musikhögskolan in the 1970s, and he is a well-known face in the Swedish musical and theatre industry. During his youth, he performed at Norrlandsoperan and sang the parts of Papageno in ''The Magic Flute'' and the title role in ''The Marriage of Figaro'', among others, with outstanding results. Rederiet
''Rederiet'' (''High Seas'' or ''The Shipping Company'') was a (318 episodes) Swedish soap opera that aired on Sveriges Television between August 1992 and April 2002. The cast featured many popular and renowned Swedish actors. The 45-minute episodes were broadcast weekly on Thursday nights on the public-service channel SVT1 and normally had between one and two million viewers. For ten years, ''Rederiet'' was the number-one rated show on Swedish television, along with the rival TV4 show '' Tre Kronor''. The competition for viewers can be compared to that between ''Dynasty'' and ''Dallas''. ''Rederiet'' also gained popularity in Finland on Yle TV2, and the show was a hit in Norway too on TV2. Karl Artur Vilhelm Moberg (20 August 1898 – 8 August 1973) was a Swedish journalist, author, playwright, historian, and debater. His literary career, spanning more than 45 years, is associated with his series ''The Emigrants''. The four books, published between 1949 and 1959, deal with the Swedish emigration to the United States in the 19th century, and are the subject of two movie adaptations and a musical. ''La Cage aux Folles'' () is a musical with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and a book by Harvey Fierstein. The Göteborg Opera
The Gothenburg opera house ( sv, Göteborgsoperan) is an opera house at Lilla Bommen in Gothenburg, Sweden. Barbro Margareta Svensson (9 March 1938 – 3 April 2018), known by her stage name Lill-Babs, was a Swedish singer, actress and television host. From the early 1950s until her death in 2018, she was one of Sweden's best-known and popular singers. Lars Hans Carl Abraham Forssell (14 January 192826 July 2007) was a Swedish writer and member of the Swedish Academy. Forssell was a versatile writer who worked within many genres, including poetry, drama and songwriting. He was married from 1951 until his death to Kerstin Hane, and was the father of Jonas and Malte Forssell. Lars Forssell was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1928. ''Cyrano de Bergerac'' is a musical with a book and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and music by Frank Wildhorn. It is based on the 1897 play of the same title by Edmond Rostand. Production history Wildhorn has said he composed the musical's title role specifically for Tony Award-nominated actor Douglas Sills, who previously appeared in Wildhorn's ''The Scarlet Pimpernel''. Plans were made for the musical to debut in the United Kingdom in early 2006 and to open in the West End in the spring, but the project was cancelled.
