Michael Mifsud
Michael Mifsud (born 17 April 1981) is a Maltese former professional association football, footballer. He scored 42 goals in 143 games for the Malta national football team, Malta national team between 2000 and 2020, and also captain (association football), captained the side. He was voted Maltese Sportsperson of the Year in 2001 and 2003. He played for Kaiserslautern, Lillestrom and Coventry City, as well as several teams in the Maltese Premier League. Joseph Mifsud (born 1960) is a British/Maltese academic, who had dual citizenship in the United Kingdom and Malta. In 2016, he became involved with George Papadopoulos, an advisor to the Donald Trump presidential campaign, and was later accused of being a link between that campaign and Russia. In 2018, he was described as missing, and an Italian court listed his location as "residence unknown". According to media reports, he was in Rome as of April 2019. Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza (born 20 November 1981 in Msida, Malta) is a professional footballer who plays for Msida Saint-Joseph as a striker. Playing career Mifsud Triganza began his career with Floriana and was promoted to the first team during the 2000–01 season. He made two appearances early in the season, but did achieve a 50% strike rate, after scoring a goal in a 1–1 draw against Naxxar Lions. Josef Mifsud (born 7 September 1984 in Sliema, Malta) is a former professional footballer and an accredited physical education teacher. As a footballer, he played as a defender. Playing career Sliema Wanderers Mifsud began his career in the Sliema Wanderers youth team before making his senior debut during the 2001–02 season. He made two appearances that season but did not score, as Sliema Wanderers finished third in the Maltese Premier League. In the 2002–03 season, he made one more appearance but again failed to find the net, though Sliema Wanderers went on to win the league title. Immanuel Mifsud
Immanuel Mifsud (born September 12, 1967, Paola) is a Maltese writer of poetry and prose. He was for a time involved in research theatre. He has written novels, short story and poetry collections, and also books for children. In 2011, he became the first Maltese writer to win the European Union Prize for Literature. In 2014, he was appointed Member of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Malta. Mifsud became the first Maltese writer to be hosted at the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C., where on February 16, 2017, he gave a reading and was interviewed during a special event. In the same year he was commissioned to write a poem for Commonwealth Day; Mifsud read "The Book" during Commonwealth Day Celebration at Westminster Abbey on March 13. Carmelo "Carm" Mifsud Bonnici (born 17 February 1960) is a Maltese politician who has served in a number of Ministerial posts in the Government of Malta. Background, education and family Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici, the son of former President Ugo Mifsud Bonnici, was born in Floriana on 17 February 1960. He was educated at St. Aloysius' College, Birkirkara, then at De La Salle College in Cospicua. Bonnici is a distant relative of former Labour Prime Minister Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici. Ugo Mifsud Bonnici, (born 8 November 1932) is a Maltese politician and was the fifth president of Malta from 1994 to 1999. Early life, education and family Ugo Mifsud Bonnici was born in Cospicua as the son of Professor Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici, and his wife, Maria (née Ross). He was educated at St Edward's College, Malta, the Lyceum and the Royal University of Malta. He graduated as a Bachelor of Arts in 1952 and as a Doctor of Laws in 1955. Steve Mifsud (born 25 August 1972 in Australia) is a Maltese Australian professional snooker player. Career He was a winner of the IBSF World Amateur Championship in Cairo, Egypt in 2002, beating Tim English 11–6 in the final which enabled him to get on the main tour for the 2003–04 season, although he later dropped off. He was runner-up to Mark Allen in the same event two years later. He got back onto the main tour for the 2007–08 season by finishing top of the Australian rankings. Again he dropped off immediately, winning just one match in the six knockout tournaments. Steve was Neil Robertson's partner in the 2011 World Cup where he helped Australia reach the quarter-finals. Giuseppe Mifsud Bonnici (17 July 1930 – 21 February 2019) was a Maltese judge and philosopher, Chief Justice of Malta between 1990 and 1995.
