Middlesex Greenway (New Jersey)
The Middlesex Greenway is a rail trail Metuchen, New Jersey, Metuchen, Edison, New Jersey, Edison and Woodbridge Township, New Jersey, Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County, New Jersey. It is part of the Middlesex County Park System. It makes up a portion of the East Coast Greenway. The trail begins at Girl Scout Park on William Street in the Fords, New Jersey, Fords/Keasbey, New Jersey, Keasbey section of Woodbridge Township and terminates in Metuchen at Greenway Park on Middlesex Avenue, with 12 entry points. Construction costs were $5 million. Expansion to Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Perth Amboy and South Plainfield, New Jersey, South Plainfield has also been proposed. Clara Barton is an unincorporated community located within Edison Township in Middlesex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It takes its name from Clara Barton. Located in the eastern part of the sprawling township, Clara Barton is more urban in its density and has a small central business district on Amboy Avenue. Middlesex (; abbreviation: Middx) is a former county in South East England, now mainly within Greater London. September 11th National Memorial Trail, also known as the 9/11 Trail, is a network of trails and roadways nearly long connecting the Flight 93 National Memorial, the Pentagon Memorial, and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. It is tribute to those who perished in September 11 attacks, September 11, 2001 attacks and to those who responded to them. The dedication was initiated by an act of Congress. A pedestrian is a person traveling on foot, by wheelchair or with other mobility aids. Streets and roads often have a designated footpath for pedestrian traffic, called the '' sidewalk'' in North American English, the ''pavement'' in British English, and the ''footpath'' in Australian and New Zealand English. Mounted police are police who patrol on horseback or camelback. Their day-to-day function is typically picturesque or ceremonial, but they are also employed in crowd control because of their mobile mass and height advantage and increasingly in the United Kingdom, UK for crime prevention and high visibility policing roles. The added height and visibility that the horses give their riders allows officers to observe a wider area, and it also allows people in the wider area to see the officers, which helps deter crime and helps people find officers when they need them. A culvert is a structure that channels water past an obstacle or to a subterranean waterway. Conrail
Conrail , formally the Consolidated Rail Corporation, was the primary Class I railroad in the Northeastern United States between 1976 and 1999. The trade name Conrail is a portmanteau based on the company's legal name. It continues to do business as an asset management and network services provider in three Shared Assets Areas that were excluded from the division of its operations during its acquisition by CSX Corporation and the Norfolk Southern Railway. The federal government created Conrail to take over the potentially profitable lines of multiple bankrupt carriers, including the Penn Central Transportation Company and Erie Lackawanna Railway.
