Proceeds from the Mid-Atlantic Championship benefited thSalute Military Golf Association From 2007 to 2011, it was played as the Melwood Prince George's County Open. It was renamed the Neediest Kids Championship in 2012, and benefiteNeediest Kids In 2010 and 2011, it was played on the University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park, Maryland. From 2007 to 2009, it was played at the Country Club at Woodmore in Mitchellville, Maryland. Since 2012, it has been played at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm in Potomac, Maryland. The 2013 purse was $600,000, with $108,000 going to the winner. Casey Wittenberg
Casey Wittenberg (born November 30, 1984) is an American professional golfer who had a successful amateur career. Early life and amateur career Wittenberg was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He played collegiately at Oklahoma State University. He lost to Nick Flanagan in the finals of the 2003 U.S. Amateur. Professional career In 2004, he finished 13th at the Masters Tournament, the lowest amateur finish in 41 years. He was the only player in the field to improve his score each round. Additionally, he registered the lowest Sunday back 9 score (31) of any amateur in Masters history. Jeff Klauk
Jeffrey Michael Klauk (; born November 28, 1977) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. Amateur career Klauk was born in Boynton Beach, Florida. He played golf at Nease High School. He played collegiately at Florida Southern College where his team won the NCAA Division II Championship three times (1998–2000) and he won the individual title in 2000. He also played on the 2000 Palmer Cup team. He won the Southeastern Amateur in 1998 and 1999. Professional career Klauk turned professional in 2000. Robert Damron
Robert Douglas Damron (born October 27, 1972) is an American professional golfer, who has played on the PGA Tour. He is a studio analyst for the Golf Channel. Early life Damron was born in Pikeville, Kentucky and raised there and later in Orlando, Florida after his father, a wealthy Kentucky coal magnate, moved the family to Bay Hill. Damron had the benefit of some early advice about golf from Bay Hill neighbor Arnold Palmer. He attended Orlando's Dr. Phillips High School graduating in 1990. Justin Bolli (born March 18, 1976) is an American professional golfer. who has played on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. Early life Bolli was born in Portland, Oregon. Mathias David Grönberg (born 12 March 1970) is a Swedish professional golfer who has played on the European Tour, PGA Tour, as well as both of their second-tier tours. Amateur career Grönberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He won the Swedish Boys Championship in 1988 and the British Youths Open Amateur Championship in 1990. Franklin Ray Lickliter II (born July 28, 1969) is an American professional golfer. He featured in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking, going as high as 41st in 2001. Early life Lickliter was born in Middletown, Ohio, adjacent to his hometown of Franklin, Ohio. Thomas Dale Gainey Jr. (born August 13, 1975), also known as "Two Gloves", is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour. Early life and education Gainey was born in Darlington, South Carolina.
