Microsoft Mobile
Microsoft Mobile Osakeyhtiö, Oy was a Finnish subsidiary of Microsoft engineering groups#Windows + Devices, Microsoft Devices involved in the development and manufacturing of mobile phones. Based in Keilaniemi, Espoo, it was established in 2014 following the List of mergers and acquisitions by Microsoft, acquisition of Nokia's Devices and Services division by Microsoft in a deal valued at €5.4 billion, which was completed in April 2014. Nokia's then-CEO, Stephen Elop, joined Microsoft as president of its Devices division following the acquisition, and the acquisition was part of Steve Ballmer's strategy to turn Microsoft into a "devices and services" company. Under a 10-year licensing agreement, Microsoft Mobile held rights to sell feature phones running the Series 30, S30/Series 30+, S30+ platform under the Nokia brand. Microsoft Talo
Tietoevry Keilalahti Campus/Microsoft Talo (formerly named Nokia House) is the head office building of Tieto and Microsoft Finland, located in Keilaniemi, Espoo, just outside Helsinki, the capital of Finland. History The campus was built between 1995 and 1997 as headquarters for Nokia by architect Pekka Helin. It comprises three separate structures: The two most southern parts of the building were built in the early 1990s and the third, most northern part was built in 2000. Nokia operated in the building from 1997 to 2014, with around 5000 employees working in the premises. They owned the building up until December 2012, when it was announced that it had been sold to Finland-based Exilion for €170 million. Nokia continued using the building as its head office, leasing it on a long-term basis. Joe Belfiore is an American business executive who has held various roles at Microsoft since August 1990, mostly in the field of user experience. A frequent speaker, Belfiore has appeared at many Microsoft conferences, often giving demos on stage and/or acting as a spokesperson for the company. Series 30+ (abbreviated as S30+) is a software platform and application user interface used for some Nokia-branded and HMD-branded mobile phones. It is the main software used for Nokia feature phones succeeding Series 30 and Series 40. Earlier Series 30+ devices following its inception in 2013 use MediaTek chips and are based on MAUI software, while most devices since 2020 (including all 4G phones) are developed on Unisoc chips and run the Series 30+ interface on top of Mocor RTOS. Nokia Series 30, often shortened as S30, is a software platform and application user interface that was previously used by Nokia for its basic entry-level mobile phones. Unlike Series 40, Series 30 phones are not capable of running J2ME, Java apps and do not have Internet access for web browsing and email.
