''Microsoft Flight Simulator'' is a 2020 flight simulation video game developed by Asobo Studio and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is a reboot of the ''Microsoft Flight Simulator'' series which began in 1982, and is a sequel to ''Microsoft Flight Simulator X'' (2006). The game's development began six years prior to its release. It was released on August 18, 2020, for Windows, with a virtual reality (VR) version released in December of the same year as part of the free Sim 2 update. ''Microsoft Flight Simulator'' is the first game in the series to see a VR and Home video game console, console release, with it being released on the Xbox Series X and Series S on July 27, 2021. ''Flight Simulator'' simulates the topography of the Earth using data from Bing Maps. The Airbus A320neo family is an incremental development of the A320 family of narrow-body airliners produced by Airbus. The A320neo family (''neo'' being Greek for "new", as well as an acronym for "new engine option") is based on the Airbus A320 family#A320 Enhanced, enhanced variant of the previous generation A319, A320, and A321, which was then retroactively renamed the A320ceo family (''ceo'' being an acronym for "current engine option"). Re-engined with CFM International LEAP or Pratt & Whitney PW1000G engines and fitted with wingtip device, sharklet wingtip devices as standard, the A320neo is 15% to 20% more fuel efficient than prior models, the A320ceo. It was launched on 1 December 2010, made its first flight on 25 September 2014 and was introduced by Lufthansa on 25 January 2016.
