Micro Warehouse Inc, stylised as MicroWarehouse and MicroWAREHOUSE, was a mail order seller of computer hardware. By 2000, Micro Warehouse was the leading direct marketer and catalogue retailer of personal computer products, with worldwide sales of $2.6 billion. At the height of their industry dominance, Micro Warehouse had 3,500 employees in thirteen countries. MicroWarehouse owned and operated the domain names Inmac.co.uk, MacWarehouse.co.uk and MicroWarehouse.co.uk. All three were online, web based, computer hardware and software retailers. PC World was a British retail chain of mass market computer big-box store, megastores. Established in November 1991, it became part of Dixons Retail in February 1993, and then part of Currys plc, Dixons Carphone, after the merger of Dixons Retail and Carphone Warehouse in August 2014. During its final years, the company's remaining physical stores were within co-branded "Currys PC World" branches, although this was retired in October 2021, after which point the company became known simply as “Currys”.
