Mickeys Magical Party
Mickey's Magical Party was a yearlong celebration during 2009 at Disneyland Paris. The celebration began on 4 April 2009. For the celebration, new attractions and entertainment opened throughout Disneyland Paris. Mickey's Magical Party ended in March 2010 and was replaced by Disney's New Generation Festival, a year-long event that celebrated the 2010s decade, similar to the Disney Parks Millennium Celebration back in 2000. Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris is an entertainment resort in Marne-la-Vallée, France, located about east of Paris. It encompasses two theme parks, seven Disney-owned hotels, two convention centers, a golf course, an arena, and a shopping, dining and entertainment complex. Opened on 12 April 1992, the resort is operated by Disney Experiences, a division of the Walt Disney Company. It is the second Disney Experiences, Disney park outside the United States, following the opening of the Tokyo Disney Resort in 1983, and the largest. Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration
The Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration was an event at the Walt Disney World Resort as part of millennium celebrations held around the world. Running from October 1, 1999, to January 1, 2001, the celebration was primarily based at Epcot, with its emphasis on human potential and the possibilities of the future. The Celebration spawned many changes for Epcot. In 1999, a large wand was erected next to Spaceship Earth with "2000" written on it. Also, a new fireworks show was created for the World Showcase Lagoon called " IllumiNations 2000: Reflections of Earth." A parade located in Epcot called " Tapestry of Nations" was also created for the celebration, which would also become the inspiration for the Disney-produced Super Bowl XXXIV halftime show, which promoted the Millennium Celebration. Playhouse Disney was a brand of programming blocks and international cable and satellite television channels that were owned by the Disney Channels Worldwide unit (now Disney Branded Television) of The Walt Disney Company's Disney–ABC Television Group. Mickey Mouse is an American cartoon character co-created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. The longtime icon and mascot of the Walt Disney Company, Mickey is an anthropomorphic mouse who typically wears red shorts, large shoes, and white gloves. Walt Disney Studios Park ( French: ''Parc Walt Disney Studios'') is the second of two theme parks built at Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallée, France. The park opened on 16 March 2002, and it is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Experiences division. Upon opening, it was dedicated to show business, movie themes, production, and behind-the-scenes. Still, in the 2010s, in a similar manner to Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, it began to distance itself from the original studio backlot theming. It entered a new direction of attraction development inspired by Disney stories. The park is represented by the Earffel Tower, a water tower with Mickey Mouse ears similar to the one formerly located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which in turn was inspired by the water tower at the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California.
