Mickey Lang
Mickey Lang (born August 13, 1986) is an Americans, American former professional ice hockey player. He has also been a junior ice hockey head coach since retiring as a player. Undrafted out of Manhattanville College, on January 27, 2013, Lang was released from his tryout contract with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League, and returned to the Quad City Mallards to finish the 2012–13 CHL season where he was rewarded for his outstanding play by being named to the 2012–13 All-CHL Team. On July 9, 2013, Lang was signed to a one-year deal as a free agent with the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL. On December 28, 2013, Lang was traded by the Komets to the Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL), Orlando Solar Bears in exchange for David Rutherford (ice hockey), David Rutherford. Rockford IceHogs
The Rockford IceHogs are a professional ice hockey team based in Rockford, Illinois. They are members of the American Hockey League (AHL), having begun play in the League starting in the 2007–08 season. The team plays their home games at the BMO Center, and they serve as the top minor league affiliate of the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Chicago Blackhawks. Central Hockey League
The Central Hockey League (CHL) was a North American mid-level minor professional ice hockey league which operated from 1992 until 2014. It was founded by Ray Miron and Bill Levins and later sold to Global Entertainment Corporation, which operated the league from 2000 to 2013, at which point it was purchased by the individual franchise owners. HC Shenzhen Kunlun Red Star (), abbreviated Shenzhen KRS, is an ice hockey team in the Chinese Women's Ice Hockey League (WCIHL). They play in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China at Shenzhen Dayun Arena. New York Apple Core
The New York Apple Core are a Tier III Junior A ice hockey team from Brewster, New York, playing in the Eastern Hockey League. The team plays home games at the Brewster Ice Arena. The Apple Core organization is based out of Long Beach, New York, on Long Island, however, their top level junior team has played in Brewster since the start of the 2011–12 season. The Western States Hockey League (WSHL) was a junior ice hockey league established in 1993. It was sanctioned by the United Hockey Union, the junior hockey branch of the Amateur Athletic Union. Previously, it was sanctioned by USA Hockey from 1994 to 2011. Teams played approximately 50 games in the regular season schedule, mimicking what players would experience at the collegiate level. The United Hockey Union (UHU), founded in 2012, is a group of ice hockey leagues in North America. The UHU is overseen and insured by the Amateur Athletic Union. Neither body is recognized by USA Hockey, Hockey Canada, or the International Ice Hockey Federation. History In 2011, the AAU expressed interest in sanctioning junior ice hockey leagues.
