Mick Micheyl
Mick Micheyl (born Paulette Michey; 8 February 1922 – 16 May 2019) was a French singer-songwriter and sculptor. Her songs won a number of national awards and she was considered the leading star of French song in the 1950s and 60s. Biography Micheyl was born Paulette Michey in Lyon in 1922 and studied at the Ecole Lyonnaise des Beaux-Arts; she started her career as a painter. In 1949 her song ''Le Marchand de Poésie'' (The Poetry Merchant), won a French song contest and she moved to Paris to become a singer. She recorded her first album with Pathé Records, Pathé-Marconi Records in 1950, and sang in nightclubs and cabarets in the city such as Casino de Paris. Another of her songs, ''Un gamin de Paris'' (A child from Paris), was widely acclaimed. In 1953 she won the Grand Prix du Disque of the Académie Charles Cros, Académie Charles-Cros with her song ''Ni toi ni moi'' (Neither You Nor Me)''.'' Villefranche-sur-Saône (, ; frp, Velafranche) is a commune in the Rhône department in eastern France. It lies 1 mile (1.6 km) west of the river Saône, and is around north of Lyon. The inhabitants of the town are called ''Caladois''. History Villefranche-sur-Saône was founded in 1212 by Guichard IV, count of Beaujeu ( frp, Bôjor/Biôjœr), and became in the 14th century the capital of the Beaujolais ( frp, Biôjolês) province. It endured three sieges in the 15th and 16th centuries. The town walls were taken down early in the 19th century. Michel Fugain
Michel Fugain (; born 12 May 1942) is a French singer and composer. He was born in Grenoble, Isère. He started composing after quitting medical school, and became a solo artist releasing his first album, ''Je n'aurai pas le temps'', in 1967. The title track was later recorded in English by John Rowles as " If I Only Had Time". He formed a troupe of singers and dancers named Le Big Bazar in 1972, and had some successes including the hit song " Une belle histoire", and was involved in projects including the soundtrack for the film ''Un jour, la fête''. He also had successes as a solo act, toured extensively and made regular appearances in radio and television shows dedicated to ''chanson'' and popular music between 1988 and 2002. His career went into a hiatus after the death of his daughter, but he resumed his career in 2005, and launched the project Pluribus in 2013.
