is a Japanese manga artist from Tosa, Kōchi. He is most known for the street racing series ''Wangan Midnight'' serialized in Kodansha's weekly ''Young Magazine'' and which has been adapted into a 26 episode anime series, a series of video games, and a movie. A manga artist, also known as a mangaka (), is a Cartoonist, comic artist who writes and/or illustrates manga. Most manga artists study at an art college or manga school or take on an apprenticeship with another artist before entering the industry as a primary creator. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Michiharu Kusunoki. It was serialized in Kodansha's ''seinen'' manga magazine ''Weekly Young Magazine'' from 1986 to 1996, with its chapters collected in 32 ''tankōbon'' volumes. It follows the adventures of two friends interested in ''shakotan'', the Japanese term for lowriders.
