The Michigan Wolverines Sports Network is an American radio network consisting of 46 radio stations which carry coverage of Michigan Wolverines Michigan Wolverines football, football and Michigan Wolverines men's basketball, men's basketball. WCSX (94.7 FM) and WMGC-FM (105.1 FM), both in Metro Detroit, serve as the network's flagship stations. A color commentator or expert commentator is a sports commentator who assists the main (play-by-play) commentator, typically by filling in when play is not in progress. The person may also be referred to as a summariser (outside North America) or analyst (a term used throughout the English-speaking world). Jon Jansen
Jonathan Ward Jansen (born January 28, 1976) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, and was selected by the Washington Redskins in the second round of the 1999 NFL draft. He also played briefly for the Detroit Lions. Early life Jansen earned Prep Football Report All-Midwest and Detroit News Blue Chip honors as a tight end at Clawson High (Mich.). As a senior, he made a school-record 31 catches for 420 yards. He posted 68 career catches and made 202 tackles, four sacks and four interceptions at linebacker to earn Oakland County Defensive MVP honors. He lettered in football, basketball and baseball. Doug Karsch (born ) is an American talk radio show host and the Michigan Wolverines football radio play by play announcer (alongside Jon Jansen), based in Detroit, Michigan. Education and early career Karsch was born in Champaign, Illinois and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in communications. He got his start in broadcasting at TV station WEYI in Flint as a sports reporter. He made his radio debut in 1994 on WTKA in Ann Arbor. HD Radio (HDR) is a trademark for in-band on-channel (IBOC) digital radio broadcast technology. HD radio generally simulcast, simulcasts an existing analog radio station in digital format with less noise and with additional text information.
