Michelle (name)
Michelle is a given name, originally a variant of Michèle, the French feminine form of Michel, derived from the Hebrew name Michael meaning " Who is like God?". The usual Latin feminine form of the name was Michaela, with Michael the vernacular form for both men and women. The name was given in reference to the archangel Michael, a saint of the Roman Catholic Church. The usual French feminine form of the name was Micheline. The name Michelle was rare until the 20th century. It became a popular name in France and later throughout the Anglosphere after 1930, popularized by French-born film actress Michèle Morgan, who was born Simone Roussel. The name was further popularized by the 1965 hit Beatles song " Michelle". The name peaked in usage for American girls in 1968, when it was among the five most popular names for newborn girls. The name has since declined in popularity but remains in regular use in English-speaking as well as French-speaking countries. It is also a surnam ...

My Michelle
"My Michelle" is a song by American rock band Guns N' Roses, featured on the band's 1987 debut studio album ''Appetite for Destruction''. Recording For the recording of this song, guitarist Slash used a slightly different setup. For the rest of the album, he used a Gibson Les Paul copy through a modified Marshall amplifier on the same settings for each song. However, for this song, he swapped to a 1960s Gibson SG because he felt it had a darker sound. Composition and lyrical intent The song is about a friend of the band, a girl named Michelle Young who is thanked in the ''Appetite for Destruction'' cover sleeve. Slash knew Young throughout junior high, as she was a friend of Slash's first girlfriend. According to Axl Rose, he and Young were in a car together when " Your Song" by Elton John came on the radio and Young happened to mention that she had always wanted someone to write a song about her. Rose's first attempt was a sweet, almost romantic song, but one that had absol ...

Hurricane Michelle
Hurricane Michelle was the fifth costliest tropical cyclone in Cuban history and the strongest hurricane of the 2001 Atlantic hurricane season. The thirteenth named storm and seventh hurricane that year, Michelle developed from a tropical wave that had traversed into the western Caribbean Sea on October 29; the wave had initially moved off the coast of Africa 13 days prior. In its early developmental stages, the depression meandered over Nicaragua, later paralleling the Mosquito Coast before intensifying into tropical storm intensity on November 1; Michelle was upgraded to hurricane strength the following day. Shortly after, rapid intensification ensued within favorable conditions, with the storm's central barometric pressure dropping in 29 hours. After a slight fluctuation in strength, Michelle reached its peak intensity as a Category 4 hurricane with winds of and a minimum pressure of . Abbey Load
''Abbey Load'' is the third studio album from Beatallica. It was released on 16 April 2013. It is the band's first studio album in over four years, since '' Masterful Mystery Tour'' was released in late 2009. The album's title was announced on 12 March 2013. Unlike the other Beatallica albums, the songs on this album have the original lyrics written by the Beatles, due to an imposition at Sony Music, the distributor of their label Oglio and owner of the Beatles' catalogue through Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Before, the lyrics were parodies such as " Mean Mr. Mustaine". Its title is a reference to the Beatles' album ''Abbey Road'' and Metallica's album '' Load''. ''Abbey Road'' also provides the cover parody (referencing the image of the Beatles crossing Abbey Road in various ways, such as "Kliff McBurtney" wearing bear slippers, and a van with the plate "28 KLIFF"), and most of the track list, with opener "Come Together" and the 16-minute medley on the album's Side B.
