Michel De Groote (born 18 October 1955) is a Belgian retired football defender. During his club career, De Groote played for RSC Anderlecht, RFC de Liège, KAA Gent and KFC Avenir Lembeek. He also gained 4 caps for the Belgium national team. Watermael-Boitsfort
Watermael-Boitsfort () or Watermaal-Bosvoorde () is a residential suburb of the city of Brussels in Belgium, and one of the 19 municipalities which form the Brussels-Capital Region. The municipality has a total area of of which 58 percent is covered by the Sonian Forest (''Forêt de Soignes'' or ''Zoniënwoud''). It borders the municipalities of Uccle, Auderghem and Ixelles as well as the province of Flemish Brabant. In 2006 the municipality had a total population of 24,056. In common with all of Brussels' municipalities, it is legally bilingual (French–Dutch). History The modern-day municipality of Watermael-Boitsfort was originally two separate settlements located on a plain between the two small rivers of Woluwe and Watermaelbeek to the north of the Sonian Forest. Belgian Super Cup
The Belgian Super Cup ( nl, Belgische Supercup, ; french: Supercoupe de Belgique; german: Belgischer Fußball-Super Cup), ''Pro League Supercup'', is a Belgian club competition played as a single match between the Belgian First Division A champions (also received the Super Cup host) and the Belgian Cup winners. If both teams are the same, the Belgian Cup runners-up participates as the second club. The most successful Super Cup club is Club Brugge with 17 titles, followed by Anderlecht (13), Standard Liège (4), Genk (2) and Lierse (2). It was created in 1979 and held every year since, with the only exception 1989 and 2020. The current holders are Club Brugge, who defeated Gent 1-0 in the 2022 match. Amsterdam Tournament
The Amsterdam Tournament ( nl, Amsterdam Toernooi) was a pre-season association football competition, held in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The competition was hosted by Eredivisie club Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena. It was inaugurated in 1975 as the Amsterdam 700 Tournament to celebrate 700 years of history in the city. It was held annually each summer until 1992, when the last edition of the original tournament was played. It returned in 1999 with the backing of the International Event Partnership (IEP). Four teams participate in the competition, played in a league format since 1986. Since its return, the tournament has used an unusual point scoring system. As with most league competitions, three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. An additional point, however, is awarded for each goal scored. 1984 UEFA Cup Final
The 1984 UEFA Cup Final was an association football tie played on 9 May and 23 May 1984 to determine the champion of the 1983–84 UEFA Cup. The two-legged final was contested between Anderlecht of Belgium–– who were defending champions–– and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. of England. Tottenham won 4–3 on penalty kicks after the tie finished 2–2 on aggregate. To date, this remains the most recent European honour won by Tottenham. In addition, it would be another thirty-five years until Spurs even played in another major European final, when they reached the Champions League Final in 2019, losing to Liverpool. In 1997, it emerged that Anderlecht's passage to the final had involved the club's chairman paying a bribe totalling £27,000 to the referee for the semi-final against Nottingham Forest.
