Michał Łasko
Michał Eryk Łasko (born 11 March 1981) is an Italian former volleyball player of Polish people, Polish descent, member of the Italy men's national volleyball team, bronze medallist at the Olympic Games (2012 Summer Olympics, London 2012), 2005 Men's European Volleyball Championship, 2005 European Champion, 2001 Italian Champion. Personal life Michał Łasko was born in Wrocław, Poland, but raised in Italy. His father, Lech Łasko, is a former Polish volleyball player - 1976 Summer Olympics, 1976 Olympic Champion. He plays for the Italian national team, because he was raised in Italy and he has never received an offer to play for Poland. He speaks the Polish language very well. Zbigniew Andrzej Bartman (born 4 May 1987) is a Polish former professional volleyball player, a member of the Poland national team in 2008–2013, a participant in the 2012 Olympic Games, 2009 European Champion, and the 2012 World League winner. Personal life Zbigniew Bartman was born in 1987 in Warsaw. He has a child born in 2019. Career Before his career as an indoor volleyball player, Bartman played beach volleyball with Michał Kubiak. They won a gold medal at the European U-18 Championship in 2004 and a silver medal at the World U-18 Championship, also in 2004. Both Kubiak and Bartman gave up playing beach volleyball. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 14 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship (). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. The league in its current form was founded in 2000 and was originally known as Polska Liga Siatkówki ''(Polish Volleyball League)''.
