Michael Travis (soccer)
Michael Travis (born 6 May 1993) is a South African soccer player who plays as a defender for Scottish club Bo'ness United. He has previously played for Forfar Athletic, Livingston, Arbroath, Edinburgh City and Berwick Rangers and has also played as a trialist for Montrose. Career Livingston A member of the under-19 team Travis made his first team debut on 23 July 2011 as a substitute in Livingston's 5–0 win against Airdrie United in the Challenge Cup. He appeared again as a sub in the next round against Stirling. He made his league debut in the Scottish First Division as a substitute on 24 September against Partick Thistle. He was released by the club at the end of the 2011–12 season. Arbroath In July 2012, Travis signed for Scottish Second Division side Arbroath. Pietermaritzburg (; ) is the capital and second-largest city in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa after Durban. The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). 2016–17 Scottish League Two
The 2016–17 Scottish League Two (known as Ladbrokes League Two for sponsorship reasons) was the 23rd season in the current format of 10 teams in the fourth-tier of Scottish football. The last placed team (Cowdenbeath) entered a play-off with a team nominated by the Scottish Football Association from outside the SPFL ( East Kilbride), to determine which team entered League Two in the 2017–18 season. The fixtures were published on 17 June 2016. Heart of Midlothian won the title on 22 March 2015 and secured their return to the Scottish Premiership with a record seven matches remaining, after Rangers defeated city rivals Hibernian 2–0. This was the first season of the competition being part of the newly formed Scottish Professional Football League after the merger of the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League.
