Michael Schröder (born 10 November 1959) is a German former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He works as a scout for Hamburger SV. Hamburger Sport-Verein e.V. (), commonly known as Hamburger SV () or Hamburg (), or HSV (), is a German sports club based in Hamburg, with its largest branch being its Association football, football department. Though the current HSV was founded in June 1919 from a merger of three earlier clubs, it traces its origins to 29 September 1887 when the first of the predecessors, SC Germania Hamburg, SC Germania, was founded. HSV has won the Bundesliga, German national championship six times, the DFB-Pokal three times and the former DFL-Ligapokal, League Cup twice. 1988–89 UEFA Cup
The 1988–89 UEFA Cup was the 18th season of the UEFA Cup, the secondary club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The final was played over two legs at the Stadio San Paolo, Naples, Italy, and at the Neckarstadion, Stuttgart, Germany.
