Michael Quatro
Michael Quatro (born 12 June 1943, Detroit, Michigan, USA) is a keyboard player and songwriter who has released eleven albums since 1972. He specializes in keyboard-driven progressive rock. Career Quatro's music gained popularity in Detroit, Michigan, where he was popular in clubs and received airplay on FM radio. Quatro's 1972 album ''Paintings'' contains the single "Circus (What I Am)", which reached No. 8 on ''Billboard'' Magazine's Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart and No. 91 on the ''Cash Box'' Top 100 Singles chart. He has sold 20 million records worldwide. Ted Nugent played guitar on one track on his second album, while his third album featured Rick Derringer on guitar and Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan from The Turtles. Michael Peter Hayes (20 June 1938 – 30 May 2003), known as Mickie Most, was an English record producer behind acts such as the Animals, Herman's Hermits, the Nashville Teens, Donovan, Lulu, Suzi Quatro, Hot Chocolate, Arrows, Racey and the Jeff Beck Group, often issued on his own RAK Records label. Biography Early career Most was born as Michael Peter Hayes in Aldershot, Hampshire, England. The son of a regimental sergeant-major, he moved with his parents to Harrow, Middlesex in 1951. Quality Records was a Canadian entertainment company which released music albums in Canada on behalf of American record labels. They also released recordings by Canadian artists. The company operated between 1950 and 1985 with offices in Toronto. The company also ran from 1990 to 1998 as "Quality Special Products" with Offices both in Canada and the United States. History In the 1950s and 1960s it was commonplace for American labels without Canadian branches to lease their recordings out to Canadian-based labels that would release the songs on their behalf north of the border. Evolution Records was a record label operated by the Stereo Dimension Records subsidiary of the Longines Symphonette Society, a unit of the Longines watch company. It was founded in 1969 as the retail arm of the mail-order Longines Symphonette Society, which typically issued box sets of old radio shows, such as a two-record set of Orson Welles's 1938 '' Mercury Theatre on the Air'' production of "The War of the Worlds", or traditional pop songs. The Pleasure Seekers was a 1964-founded, all-female rock band from Detroit, Michigan. The band morphed into Cradle, changing direction musically.
