Mike Pritchard
Michael Robert Pritchard (born October 26, 1969) is a former American football player who played college football at the University of Colorado and professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks over a nine-year career. Pritchard grew up in Las Vegas and starred as an all-purpose back. His athletic talent attracted attention from collegiate football programs from across the nation. Pritchard eventually accepted an athletic scholarship offer from head coach Bill McCartney of the University of Colorado. There, Pritchard was a versatile player who excelled at a variety of positions, including wide receiver, kick returner, and running back. As a senior in 1990, he was named first-team All- Big Eight at wide receiver, also garnering honorable mention All-American honors from the UPI. Michael Ryan Pritchard (born May 4, 1972), better known by his stage name Mike Dirnt, is an American rock musician who is the co-founder, bassist, backing and occasional lead vocalist, and former guitarist of Green Day. He has also played in several other bands, including the Frustrators. His stage name Dirnt was originally a nickname that his friends from grade school gave him, as he constantly played "air bass/guitar" and made a "dirnt, dirnt, dirnt" noise while pretending to pluck the strings. Michael Pritchard (born 1949 or 1950) is an American stand-up comedian, youth counselor, and advocate of social emotional learning (SEL). He speaks to schools, parent groups, and corporations on the topics of communication skills, diversity, bullying, and conflict resolution. A presentation that he made at Benicia (California) Middle School was featured in the 2011 Roko Belic documentary film ''Happy''. Early life Pritchard grew up in Missouri and was the youngest of four brothers. His father was a pump salesman, and his mother a teacher. While in Missouri, he received a degree in social science. Career Pritchard was a U.S. Army medic during the Vietnam War.
