Michael Pope is an Australian voice-over announcer, warm-up comedian, and producer. He is best known as a producer of Nine Network's '' Bert's Family Feud'' as well as ''The Price Is Right'' on the same network. Early life and education Pope graduated from Flinders Drama Centre at Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia. Career Pope is best known as a producer of Nine Network's '' Bert's Family Feud'' as well as ''The Price Is Right'' on the same network. ''Bert's Family Feud'' was an Australian game show remake based on the American show of the same name. The series was produced by Grundy Television in conjunction with FremantleMedia. It was broadcast on the Nine Network and hosted by Bert Newton. The title refers to host Bert Newton as the show intended to feature celebrities and their families as contestants. A principal motivation for establishing the show was that the Nine Network had the highest-rated Australian television news service for many years, but had seen its viewing audience abandon the network in favour of the Seven Network's ''Seven News'' and ''Today Tonight''. ''Australia's Got Talent'' is an Australian reality television talent show. The show is based on the '' Got Talent'' series format that originated in the United Kingdom with Simon Cowell. The first six seasons aired on the Seven Network, from 2007 to 2012. In the first season the judges were Tom Burlinson, Red Symons and Dannii Minogue. The first season aired at 6:30pm on Sunday nights. After a successful run, the series was given a vote of confidence as Seven moved the show to a more competitive Tuesday night timeslot.
