Michael Magee (actor)
Michael Magee (October 11, 1929 – July 15, 2011) was a Canadian actor, singer and author. He was known for voicing Cyril Sneer and his pet half dog/half aardvark Snag in the Canadian animated series '' The Raccoons'' and the voice for The Coach on the CBC show, '' Yes You Can''. Career He was also well-known for his alter-ego that he created in the 1970s known as Fred C. Dobbs. Dobbs first came to the public's attention when a daily telephone call from a crotchety commentator enlivened the Bruno Gerussi's morning show on CBC Radio in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In the mid-to-late 1970s, Magee starred in a series for Toronto's TVOntario called '' Magee & Company'', in which he played numerous characters, including Dobbs. The Clown Murders
''The Clown Murders'' is a 1976 Canadian horror film directed by Martyn Burke. It was one of the earliest films in which John Candy appears. The Executive Producer was Stephen Stohn, who later produced the '' Degrassi: The Next Generation'' TV series. Plot Four friends hatch a scheme to dress up like clowns on Halloween and kidnap a businessman's wife (Susan Keller) to prevent him from closing a land deal. Though the scheme is intended as a prank, it takes an ugly turn when real violence is used at the kidnapping. TVO (stylized in all lowercase as tvo), formerly known as TVOntario, is a Canadian publicly funded English-language educational television network and media organization serving the Canadian province of Ontario. ''The Raccoons and the Lost Star'' is the third of four animated television specials leading up to the animated television series ''The Raccoons'' and debuted on 13 December 1983. It came after the first two Raccoons seasonal specials, which were '' The Christmas Raccoons'' (1980) and '' The Raccoons on Ice'' (1981). There are some thematic elements that did not exist in the first two specials, such as the Raccoons' world being separate from that of the humans, but it is the first one to develop the look and feel of the series.
