Michael Kuffer
Michael Kuffer (born 16 March 1972) is a German lawyer and politician of the Christian Social Union (CSU) who served as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Bavaria from 2017 to 2021. Political career Kuffer became a member of the Bundestag in the 2017 German federal election, representing the Munich South constituency. He was a member of the Committee on Home Affairs and the Committee on the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. In this capacity, he serves as his parliamentary group’s rapporteur on emergency management. He narrowly lost his seat to the Greens at the 2021 German federal election. Bundestag
The Bundestag (, "Federal Diet (assembly), Diet") is the lower house of the Germany, German Federalism in Germany, federal parliament. It is the only constitutional body of the federation directly elected by the German people. The Bundestag was established by Title III of the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany () in 1949 as one of the legislative bodies of Germany, the other being the German Bundesrat, Bundesrat. The German Red Cross (GRC) ( ; DRK) is the national Red Cross Society in Germany. During the Nazi era, the German Red Cross was under the control of the Nazi Party and played a role in supporting the regime's policies, including the exclusion of Jewish members and collaboration with the war effort. Under Germany's mixed member proportional system of election, the Bundestag has 299 constituencies ( (), electoral districts), which are used to elect members of the Bundestag. The 2017 German federal election was held in Germany on 24 September 2017 to elect the List of members of the 19th Bundestag, members of the 19th Bundestag. At stake were at least 598 seats in the Bundestag, as well as 111 Overhang seat, overhang and leveling seats determined thereafter.
