Michael K. Winder
Michael Kent Winder (born January 27, 1976) is an American businessman, author, and politician. He was the mayor of West Valley City, Utah between 2010 and 2014. A Republican, he currently represents District 30 in the Utah House of Representatives, a position to which he was first elected in November 2016. He is the author of fourteen published books on Utah and LDS history, including '' Presidents and Prophets: The Story of America's Presidents and the LDS Church''. He has received criticism in the press for using false identities and undisclosed pseudonyms for city promotion, for a political attack, and for editing of the Wikipedia article about him. Fred C. Cox (born 1961) is a Republican former member of the Utah State House of Representatives, representing the 30th District in 2015 to 2016 and the 32nd District from 2011 to 2012. Spencer Cox (politician)
Spencer James Cox (born July 11, 1975) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the 18th governor of Utah since 2021. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the eighth lieutenant governor of Utah from 2013 to 2021. Cox was raised and lives in Fairview, Utah. He was elected to the city council in 2004 and mayorship the next year. After overseeing rural economic development in Fairview, Cox was elected a county commissioner for Sanpete County in 2008. Ranked Voting
The term ranked voting (also known as preferential voting or ranked choice voting) refers to any voting system in which voters rank their candidates (or options) in a sequence of first or second (or third, etc.) on their respective ballots. Ranked voting systems differ on the basis of how the ballots are marked, how the preferences are tabulated and counted, how many seats are filled, and whether voters are allowed to rank candidates equally. Jon Meade Huntsman Jr. (born March 26, 1960) is an American businessman, diplomat and politician who served as the 16th Governor of Utah from 2005 to 2009. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the Ambassador of the United States to Russia from 2017 to 2019, to China from 2009 to 2011, and to Singapore from 1992 to 1993. James V (10 April 1512 – 14 December 1542) was King of Scotland from 9 September 1513 until his death in 1542. He was crowned on 21 September 1513 at the age of seventeen months. Millcreek is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States, and is part of the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population as of the 2020 Census was 63,380. Prior to its incorporation on December 28, 2016, Millcreek was a census-designated place (CDP) and township. History The first settlers of the Millcreek area in 1848 included Mary Fielding Smith (widow of Hyrum Smith) and her children, including Joseph F. Smith. The area remained essentially rural in character until after World War II. As postwar suburban growth spilled south over the Salt Lake City limits, the area was not annexed by the city and remained unincorporated. Winder Farms
Winder Farms is an American dairy company. It offers milk and chocolate milk and other products, formerly delivering to households in Utah, Las Vegas, Nevada and Orange County, California. History In 1863, the Winder family built the first Winder farm at 2700 South and 300 East in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1880, the Winder's business, known then as Winder Dairy, began delivering milk. Glass bottles of "Rich Jersey Milk" were introduced in 1907. The price of a quart of Winder milk in 1918 was 18 cents. The family switched from horses to a Ford Model T truck in 1915, but when its tires frequently burst, the Winders went back to horse deliveries until 1928. In 1931, the farm moved from South Salt Lake City to 4400 W. 4100 South. The family started its bakery operation in 1958. In 1985 glass bottles were replaced with polycarbonate containers.
