Michael Flürscheim
Michael Flürscheim (January 27, 1844, Frankfurt/Main – April 24, 1912) was a German economist and Georgist. He was born in Frankfurt to a wealthy family. He was prominent in the town of Gaggenau where in 1873 found a factory. He had 6 children from 2 wives. His brother Hermann A. Flurscheim (1851-1914) became a New York City retailer. His son, Bernhard Jacques Flurscheim was a chemist. His grandson, Charles Flurscheim was an electrical engineer, His youngest son Michael Edward Flurscheim Tromer, was a very important playwright and theater director in Mexico. His grandson Ricardo Miguel Flurscheim, is a designer and manufacturer of medical equipment in Mexico. Franz Oppenheimer (March 30, 1864 – September 30, 1943) was a German sociologist and political economist, who published also in the area of the fundamental sociology of the State (polity), state. Life and career Franz Oppenheimer was born into a Jewish family in Berlin in 1864. After studying medicine in Freiburg and Berlin, Oppenheimer practiced as a physician in Berlin from 1886 to 1895. From 1890 onward, he began to concern himself with sociopolitical questions and social economics. After his activity as a physician, he was editor-in-chief of the magazine ''Welt am Morgen'', where he became acquainted with Friedrich Naumann, who was, at the time, working door-to-door for different daily papers. In 1909, Oppenheimer earned a PhD in Kiel with a thesis about economist David Ricardo. From 1909 to 1917, Oppenheimer was a Privatdozent in Berlin, then for two years ''Titularprofessor''. Theodor Hertzka, or Hertzka Tivadar (July 13, 1845 – October 22, 1924) was a Jewish-Hungarian-Austrian economist and journalist. Life He studied at the universities of Vienna and Budapest, and in 1872 became a member of the editorial staff of the ''Neue Freie Presse'' of Vienna. In 1879 he founded the newspaper '' Wiener Allgemeine Zeitung'', which he edited until 1886. He was a friend of Johannes Brahms. Adolf Wilhelm Ferdinand Damaschke (born 24 November 1865, Berlin – 30 July 1935, Berlin) was a German politician and economist (''Nationalökonom'').
