Michael Coles (speedway Rider)
Michael Timothy Coles (born 11 August 1965 in Exeter, England), is a former international motorcycle speedway rider from England. Career Coles rode for a number of teams including Exeter Falcons, Edinburgh Monarchs and ended his career after riding with the Glasgow Tigers in the Premier League. In 1993, he helped Edinburgh win the Fours Championship during the 1993 British League Division Two season. Coles represented England at test level. Michael Coles (cricketer)
Michael Stuart Coles (born 11 September 1981) is an English cricketer. Coles is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium. He was born in Bristol. Coles made his debut in List-A cricket for the Somerset Cricket Board in the 2000 NatWest Trophy against Staffordshire. He represented the Board in 4 List-A matches between 2000 and 2002, the last of which came against Cornwall in the 1st round of the 2003 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy which was played in 2002. Coles made his Minor Counties Championship debut for Wiltshire in 2003 against Wales Minor Counties. From 2003 to present, he has represented the county in 35 Minor Counties Championship matches. Coles also represented Wiltshire in the MCCA Knockout Trophy making his debut for the county in that competition against Dorset in 2004. Michael J. Coles is an American entrepreneur, author, philanthropist, and politician. Coles was the co-founder of Great American Cookie Company and former CEO of Caribou Coffee. Coles was the 1996 Democratic nominee for the house of representatives in the Sixth District of Georgia, and the 1998 Democratic nominee for U.S senate. In 1994 Kennesaw State University named its school of business the Coles College of Business. Career In 1977, with co-founder Arthur Karp, Coles opened the first Great American Cookie Company location at Perimeter Mall with an investment of $8,000. From there, the company expanded and became a chain in the United States. In 1988, Coles sold the Great American Cookie company for $100 million. Coles ran as a Democrat for US Congress in 1996, against incumbent congressman Newt Gingrich.
