Michael Black (footballer)
Michael James Black (born 6 October 1976) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder and forward. After beginning his career in the Arsenal academy, he played in the Football League for Tranmere Rovers and Southend United, before dropping into non-League football in 2002. Career Arsenal Black began his career as a trainee Arsenal academy in 1993 and was later joined in the academy by his brother Tommy. He won the 1994 FA Youth Cup with the youth team and received a first team squad number for the 1997–98 season. Black joined Second Division club Brentford on a one-month loan on 29 August 1997. He failed to make an appearance for the club and joined Second Division club Millwall on a three-month loan on 3 October 1997. Michael Black (judge)
Michael Eric John Black (born 22 March 1940) is a former Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia. Background and career Black was born in the Kingdom of Egypt, where his father was serving as an officer in the Royal Air Force. He attended schools in Egypt, England, and Australia ( Wesley College, Melbourne). He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne in 1963. In 1964, Black commenced practice at the Victorian Bar. His practice included civil jury actions as well as commercial and public law cases. Black was appointed Queen's Counsel for Victoria in 1980 and for Tasmania in 1984. As Queen's Counsel, he specialised in appellate work, including cases in constitutional, commercial and industrial law. One of the constitutional cases was the Tasmanian Dam Case in 1983, where he represented the Tasmanian Wilderness Society. Michael H. Black (7 June 1928 – 16 June 2022) was a British author and literary critic who held the position of university Publisher at Cambridge University Press. Early life and education Black was born in 1928 in Tempsford, Bedfordshire. His parents, Norman Black and Frances Best, were both dental surgeons, originally from Scotland. He grew up in Falmouth, where he attended the Grammar School and, under the advice of his headmaster, sat the scholarship exam for Cambridge. He was awarded a minor scholarship to Jesus College, Cambridge.
