Michael Bird (politician)
Michael Conrad Bird is an economics lecturer, and was a Republican member of the Colorado State Senate from 1987 to 1995. Bird graduated from Western Maryland College in 1961, and gained his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He joined Colorado College in 1968, and was a Fulbright Lecturer in Mexico in 1966 through 1968, and Peru in 1971. In 1973 Bird and fellow Colorado College Professor Fred Sondermann were elected to city council of Colorado Springs on a "Sensible Growth" ticket. Bird went on to become a Colorado state representative in 1983 and state senator in 1987. After a failed bid to become Governor of Colorado in 1993, losing out to businessman Bruce Benson in the GOP due to his superior financial resources, and being time barred to extend his stay in the Senate in 1994, he returned to the world of education as a lecturer at Colorado College. Michael Bird (born 12 April 1958) is a British author and art historian. He was born in London and educated at Haberdashers' Aske's School and Merton College, Oxford. After teaching at Sherborne School he worked in publishing, including a stint on the editorial team of the Macmillan Dictionary of Art (noOxford Art Online. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Bird published poetry, essays and reviews. The Right Reverend Michael Bird (born 15 November 1957) is a retired Canadian Anglican bishop. From 2008 until 2018 he was the Bishop of Niagara in the Anglican Church of Canada. Michael F. Bird (born 18 November 1974) is an Australian New Testament scholar, theologian and Anglican priest. Life and career Bird served in the Australian military, where he discovered his faith. After becoming a Christian he was firstly a Baptist, then a Presbyterian and now an Anglican. He has been called by the ecumenical media platform Eternity a "heavy hitter" in the world of New Testament scholarship and Jesus's divinity. Bird is vice principal and lecturer in theology and New Testament at Ridley College, having previously taught at the Brisbane School of Theology and Highland Theological College. Michael Bird (born 7 November 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played at schoolboy level for Wales. He played for clubs in all four constituent countries of the United Kingdom - England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. He is a coach at Blackpool's Centre of Excellence. , also known as Micky Bird or Mickey Bird, is a Japanese manga artist, character designer, essayist, and screenplay writer. Tori has won multiple awards for his work, including two Seiun Awards (in 1994 for ''Dai-Hon'ya'', and in 1998 for ''SF Taishō'') and one Bungeishunjū Manga Award (in 1995 for ''Tōku e Ikitai'').
