Michael Ampadu
Michael Ampadu (born 15 November 1997) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as defender for Ghanaian Premier League side Legon Cities FC. Club career Ampadu played for Liberty Professionals for four seasons from 2016 to 2020. He later moved to Legon Cities in 2020 in the club's bid to bolster their squad ahead of the 2020–21 Ghana Premier League season. Legon Cities FC (formerly known as Wa All Stars FC) is a football club from Ghana currently based in Accra, Greater Accra. The club won the 2016 Ghanaian Premier League. History The club was founded in January 2006 through investments by Kwesi Nyantakyi in Wa, Ghana. 2020–21 Ghana Premier League
The 2020–21 Ghana Premier League is the 65th season of top professional association football league in Ghana. The season started on 14 November 2020. 18 teams are competing in the league with each club playing each other twice, home and away, with the three clubs at the bottom of the league relegated to the Division One League. Season overview With 18 clubs participating in the league, this marked the second time since 1980 that more than 16 clubs competed in the top division of Ghanaian football. The GFA announced that the league was suspended on 15 March 2020, in the middle of match-week 15, because of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Jonah Attuquaye is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as midfielder for Latvian Higher League side FK Auda. Career Attuquaye played for Berekum Chelsea from 2019 to 2020. Asamoah Gyan ( ; born 22 November 1985) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who last played as a striker for Legon Cities FC and is the former captain of the Ghanaian national team. 2019 Africa U-23 Cup Of Nations Qualification
The 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualification was a men's under-23 football competition, which decided the participating teams of the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations. Players born 1 January 1997 or later were eligible to participate in the competition. A total of eight teams qualified to play in the final tournament, including Egypt who qualified automatically as hosts. These matches also served as the first stage of the CAF qualifiers for the 2020 Summer Olympics men's football tournament in Japan.
