Michael Aloni
Michael Mark Aloni (or Alony; ; born 31 January 1984) is an Israeli actor, director, writer and television presenter. Regarded as one of the best performers of his generation in Israel, he is recognized for his versatile work across independent films, television and the stage. A graduate of Nissan Nativ Action Studio, he had a breakout role on the hit teen TV drama, '' HaShminiya'' (2005–2007). He also appeared in the films, ''Policeman'' (2011) and '' Out in the Dark'' (2012). He became known to international audiences when Netflix picked up international streaming rights for the critically acclaimed TV series, '' Shtisel'' (2013–2021). Aloni portrayed the protagonist, Akiva Shtisel, a Haredi man in Mea Shearim in Jerusalem. yes (), formerly incorporated as D.B.S. Satellite Services (1998) Ltd (), is the sole direct broadcast satellite television provider in Israel. It broadcasts multichannel TV and VOD services via satellites Amos-3 and Amos-7. It also offers DVR capabilities, and 4K support. In 2017, yes served about 600,000 subscribers. Marva
Marva (Hebrew: מרווה) is a two-month Israel Defense Forces basic training program for young Jews from the Diaspora which offers an opportunity to experience the IDF and Israeli life. The program is based at Sde Boker. History Marva, originally affiliated with Gadna, which is now part of the Israeli Education and Youth Corps, is open to young adults aged 18-25 fluent in English or Hebrew. The majority of participants are 18-20. Every week, the program focuses on a different aspect of Israeli army life. Participants travel around the country visiting IDF bases and experiencing the life of a soldier while learning about the army itself. The program costs US$1650 and is non-refundable.
